Context
The Bachelor of Management program was redesigned in 2012 and commenced in March 2014 with an intake of one hundred and fifty six (156) students across two located campuses as well as off-campus.
The program was designed with the overarching philosophy of focusing on generating high-quality work-ready graduates. More specifically it was focused on developing students’ professional competencies and their employability skills together with a broad view of society, business and citizenship. This was to be realised in a number of ways including the use of a suite of generic skills units, a compulsory Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and capstone experience as well as the use of an ePortfolio to tie together the program and create a place for students to collect and reflect and to use as a vehicle to create evidence which could be presented to numerous stakeholders but specifically to graduate employers. The full structure of the program can be found here. |
The ePortfolio whilst guided by proposed tasks allows flexibility for students to enhance, enrich and find space to document their own learning. A diagram highlighting the philosophy and structure of the Bachelor of Management degree is shown above. |
